Type of Claim
What type of accident can compensation be claimed for?
Obviously there are many circumstances in which children's accidents occur. However some accidents can be prevented. If your child is in the care of someone else, they must show a duty of care towards them to ensure your Childs safety, if they have not demonstrated this they may be deemed negligent and a claim for compensation can be argued.
Childrens Accident Helpline has helped hundreds of children and parents obtain compensation for injuries they have sustained as a result of an accident. The most common types of children’s accidents and children’s injuries, in which compensation can be claimed, include the following:
- Accidents at school, playgroups or at crèches
- Faulty equipment in a playground or leisure centre
- Children injured as a passenger in a road traffic accident
- Slip or fall on a defective pavement in the street or local park
- Burns, breaks and fractures
- Child abuse
Even if your child has been involved in an accident that is not listed above, you still may be able to make a claim on his or her behalf.
